What's new
Commander Nexus is in beta, which means it changes most days. Everything we ship
— new features, fixes, and problems we already know about — gets written
down here, in plain language.
6 September 2026
Share a deck with a friend, and let them edit itFeature
Send someone an invitation link and they can open the deck. They arrive read-only; you hand them editing when you are ready, and you can take it back at any time. While you both have it open you can see each other on the deck, and every line of its history says who made that change. Links expire on their own, and you can cancel one before it is used.
A deck open in two places stays in syncFeature
Have the same deck open on your phone and your laptop, and a change made in one shows up in the other. No reloading, no wondering which copy is right.
A wish list on your Collection pageFeature
It sits beside All Cards and No Place Yet. It shows what each card costs, what the whole list would come to, and ticks a card off once you log it as owned.

"Copy missing cards" does more than copyFeature
It is a menu now. Copy them as text, add them to your wish list, mark them as owned straight into your collection, or drop them into another one of your decks.
Decks and collections export as a spreadsheetFeature
CSV joins the export formats that were already there, with a proper header row, so it opens straight into Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets. The other formats are unchanged.
You have a public profile pageFeature
"Built by" goes somewhere now. Your page lives at /u/ followed by your display name, and lists the decks you have chosen to make public.
Commander Nexus has a News pageFeature
A sixth button in the menu. Articles there can name a real card, set or keyword and the site links it up for you, so you can look up anything you do not recognise without leaving the page.
Take a look →
A real Help pageFeature
Questions on top, answers underneath -- the things people actually ask, in plain words, without hunting around the site for them.

The front page tells you what is happeningFeature
A new band below the header counts down to the sets due out next. Articles and any Secret Lair drop on sale will appear there too, as soon as there are some.
Every card now shows its official rulingsFeature
Open any card and the Rulings section lists the official answers Wizards has published about it -- the same wording a judge would use. They refresh themselves, so they stay current without anyone typing them in.
A plain-English explainer for card rarityFeature
The card window has a "How rarity works" button. Common, uncommon, rare, mythic -- what that little coloured symbol means, and why it has nothing to do with how good a card is.
Pick a light or dark look, and your own accent colourFeature
Account then Appearance lets you switch between a light and a dark site, and choose the highlight colour used everywhere else.

Guided tours on every pageFeature
A "?" button in the corner of each page walks you through what is on it. The card window has its own tour covering tags, prices, what you own, rulings and switching to a different printing.
Notifications are on by default, and arrive as they happenFeature
The bell in the header tells you what has shipped. Everyone has it switched on now, including accounts made before it existed, and you can still turn it off. If you are signed in when something lands it appears on screen for a few seconds rather than waiting quietly behind the bell.
Prices now cover every printingFeature
We used to collect price information for one printing of each card. It is collected for all of them now, so switching to a different printing shows you a real price instead of a blank.
Newly spoiled cards appear within minutesFeature
A card previewed this morning used to wait about twelve hours in line behind thirty-year-old commons before we refreshed it. Cards that are not out yet now go to the front of that queue.
The site loads fasterFeature
The last two pieces of the site that were fetched from other companies' servers now come from ours, so somebody else having a slow day can no longer hold up the page.
The site fits a phone screenFix
On a phone 360 pixels wide the site was laying itself out at 480 and zooming out to compensate, which made everything small and pushed it off centre. Every page has been rechecked at 320 and 360 pixels.
"A newer version is ready" was showing to everyoneFix
That bar appeared on a first visit, and every visit after it, whether or not anything had actually changed. It now shows only when there really is a new version waiting.
Two Account pages stopped being dead linksFix
Account then Appearance, and Account then Tutorials, worked when you clicked them but gave a "page not found" if you reloaded the page or sent someone the address.
Card pictures are readable againFix
The site was sometimes choosing a special-edition printing with very dark artwork, where you could barely make out the picture. It now prefers the ordinary paper printing.
The deck page stopped drawing over itselfFix
With a side panel open, a deck's title and bracket card could spill across the statistics sitting beside them.
Opening a deck link is fasterFix
Following a link straight to a deck quietly loaded that deck three times over before showing it to you. Once now.
Deck pop-ups dim the page behind themFix
Share, Export and "Who can edit this deck" now black out the deck behind them, instead of leaving a side panel painted over a third of the dialog.
Messages were appearing behind thingsFix
The small confirmation and error messages were being drawn underneath open panels and dialogs. A message telling you something had failed could be completely invisible.
Partner decks are no longer wrongly flagged as illegalFix
A deck led by two commanders may use the colours of both. We were checking against only one of them, so five of the ready-made decks carried a warning they did not deserve.
Ready-made decks start with the newest setFix
The page promised it led with the most recent release, then showed you an alphabetical list beginning at "20 Ways to Win".

Text pages use the full width againFix
Pages such as the legal documents were shrinking to fit their own text and sitting off to the right instead of centred.
Display names are one-of-a-kind, and say soFix
Two accounts could take the same display name, which made a public profile link ambiguous. If the name you want is taken you are now told so in plain words, instead of hitting an error.

Browsing no longer bounces you to Your DecksFix
Opening a commander or a ready-made deck could throw you back to your own deck list a second later.
The Cards tab loads properly againFix
Searching a large collection could time out and show nothing at all. It does not any more.
Signed out? Your Log In button is backFix
On some pages the header hid the Log In button from people who were not signed in, leaving no obvious way in.
Cut cards no longer sit under a heading that says Cards 0Fix
Cards you had removed were being grouped under a heading claiming there were none.
Drag a deck onto a folder to file itFeature
Your Decks now lets you drag a deck straight onto a folder. Long folder names are no longer chopped in half either.
The sharing label tells the truthFix
A deck can be private, unlisted, or fully public. The label was only describing two of those three states.
The footer is a real map of the siteFeature
Every section is now linked from the bottom of every page, so nothing is more than one click away.
Your own picture shows on browsing pages tooFix
The header showed a generic grey figure on the public pages even when you were signed in.
Every form field says what it is to a screen readerFeature
If you use a screen reader, each box, toggle and menu on the site now announces its own name and purpose.
A wrong web address says soFix
A mistyped or dead link used to load an empty version of the site, which looked broken. It now shows a proper page telling you it does not exist, with a way back.
Theme and tag pages show their descriptions properlyFix
Those pages were printing their formatting marks on screen instead of applying them.
Prices follow one rule everywhereFix
Different parts of the site were choosing card prices differently, so the same card could appear to cost two different amounts. There is now one rule. Tokens no longer show an empty price box either — we do not hold a price for token printings, and a box reading N/A answered nothing.
Our legal documents have been rewrittenNews
The terms, privacy policy and affiliate disclosures are in plain language, and say honestly what the site does and does not collect.
1 September 2026
Every page has its own web addressFeature
Commanders, ready-made decks, themes and tags are now proper addresses you can bookmark, share, or send to someone, instead of everything living at a single address.
Browsing pages load much fasterFeature
The public pages — commanders, precons, themes, tags and the glossary — are now prepared ahead of time and delivered ready to read. That is about four thousand pages that no longer have to be assembled while you wait.
30 August 2026
Real cards stopped being mistaken for joke cardsFix
A filter meant to catch the deliberately silly, non-tournament cards was catching legitimate ones as well and quietly dropping them out of search results.
Deck versions and saved snapshots are marked SoonNews
Those buttons existed before the feature behind them was finished. They now say Soon, so nothing looks broken while we build it.
29 August 2026
Import a deck you built somewhere elseFeature
Paste a link from Moxfield, Archidekt, MTGGoldfish or a Commander Template and the whole deck comes across. You can also drag cards straight in from Scryfall, Moxfield, Archidekt, EDHREC or a Commander Template and drop them on your deck. Moxfield is the one exception that does not carry the exact printing across, and the site says so when it happens.
Your CollectionFeature
Keep a record of the cards you actually own, in folders you decide on, separate from any one deck. The site can then tell you what a deck would cost you on top of what is already on your shelf.
A real profileFeature
Set a display name and choose a picture, and it shows up wherever you appear on the site.
A Final Fantasy deck no longer hands you Marvel tokensFix
Token artwork was being matched loosely and could pull in a piece from a completely unrelated set.
Tokens get their own pileFeature
Many cards create creatures out of nothing — those are called tokens. They are now kept in their own section of the deck, so they can never be counted toward your hundred cards.
Profile pictures come from commander artworkNews
Rather than uploading an image from your device, you pick the art from any commander. It keeps every picture on the site something we already have the rights to show.
28 August 2026
You can browse without an account againFeature
Card artwork, commanders and other people's decks are all visible signed out. You still need an account to save anything of your own.
Preconstructed decks are shown the way they actually playFeature
Ready-made decks now display their real contents and how the deck is meant to function, instead of a flat list.
A large pass over how cards are understoodFeature
Thousands of cards were re-read to work out what each one really does — which ones find you extra lands, which draw cards, which remove a threat. Better reading here means better suggestions everywhere else on the site.
Attraction cards are treated as real cardsFix
Attractions are legal in some Commander games and were being skipped entirely.
Coat of Arms is read correctlyFix
It gets stronger for creatures that share a creature type, and the site now says that rather than something vaguer.
27 August 2026
A guided way to build a searchFeature
You no longer need to know any search syntax. Choose what you are looking for from a list and the site writes the search for you. If you already know Scryfall's search language, it works too — type it into any card search box on the site. The few operators we cannot honour are named on screen rather than ignored.
Filters with nothing in them are listed tooFix
A filter with no matching cards used to be hidden, so there was no way to tell whether you had already tried it. Every filter is now shown, with its count.
26 August 2026
Card images match the printing you actually put inFix
Opening a card from inside a deck showed a generic version of it. It now shows the exact printing sitting in your list.
A deck with an illegal card says so straight awayFix
Commander decks may only use one copy of most cards. Breaking that rule is now flagged the moment it happens instead of passing quietly.
Joke cards and extra-turn cards are read correctly againFix
A group of unusual cards — the deliberately silly ones, and the ones that hand you another turn — were being misread. They behave properly again.
Rules that only apply sometimes now explain themselvesFix
Some cards do something only in particular situations. Rather than quietly disappearing from the analysis, those notes now say what they are and when they apply.
The navigation bar is back on desktopFix
The bar across the top of the site vanished at some window sizes.
Thirteen small problems from a testing roundFix
A round of testing turned up thirteen separate faults across the deck builder — wrong counts, buttons that did nothing, and panels that opened empty. All of them are fixed.
