Commander Banned List
A banned card is one you are not allowed to put in a Commander deck, in any of the
hundred slots, including as your commander. Every other card ever printed is legal.
83 cards are on this list today. Commander Nexus flags a banned card the moment
it lands in one of your decks — we tell you, we do not stop you.
The list is Wizards of the Coast's, not ours, and it changes. We mirror what Scryfall
records. We do not republish the reasoning behind any single ban here; what is printed
beside each card is what the card itself does.
