Daxos can't be blocked by creatures with power 3 or greater.
Whenever Daxos deals combat damage to a player, exile the top card of that player's library. You gain life equal to that card's mana value. Until end of turn, you may cast that card and you may spend mana as though it were mana of any color to cast that spell.
Picked for what they do in Daxos of Meletis's deck. When two cards do the same job, the one with the lower comes first. All of them fit Daxos of Meletis's color identity.Mana ValueThe total amount of mana a card costs, all added up. A card costing two generic and one green has a mana value of three. Wizards renamed this from "converted mana cost" in 2021, so older cards and articles may still use the old name.Open the full glossary

Daxos doesn't change when you can cast the exiled card. For example, if you exile a creature card without flash, you can cast it only during your main phase when the stack is empty.

If Daxos is blocked by a creature, raising that creature's power to 3 or greater won't change or undo the block.

If the exiled card is a land card, you won't gain any life and you won't be able to play the land.

You must pay all costs to cast the exiled card. You may pay alternative or additional costs. If the card has any mandatory additional costs, you must pay those.
Color identityEvery color of mana symbol on a card, in its cost and in its rules text. Your commander's color identity sets the limit for your whole deck: every other card has to fit inside it. A deck led by a green and white commander cannot play a card with any blue in its color identity.Open the full glossaryWUPlayers write colors as letters: W for white, U for blue.
